This year, as Mark Randall said it at how to web (is the best time to start up your own shit) in Romania we will have Venture Connect. You will have to opportunity to connect with VC and angel investors willing to help you start your engine more rapidly or reach critical mass more quickly.
I was looking at the site as soon as I saw Manafu twitt, earlier this week. In the mean time the site has changed. In order to apply there was a template to fill, a doc file, now you can apply directly on the site.
Marius Ghenea was saying at how to web that seems to be a gap between angel investors or people willing to invest in Romanian start-up’s and the people with ideas, entrepreneurs . I have a few ideas(now working on demos) and soon (I hope) I’ll looking for an angel investor or VC, but I don’t own a company, I don’t have employees not to talk about EBITDA or turnover. And these (employees, EBITDA and turnover) are compulsory to be filled. This means that if i’m not there as a company I can’t get funded?
What is the relation between these words: startup, angel investor and religion(1) ?
So let’s start from the begining.
1. You “are” the startup, you have the idea and you need wings (by wings you should understand: money, knowledge, connections, people, experience).
2. There are out there people that combine all your needs or have access to people that can help you growing wings.
3. There is the religion.
Isn’t the religion that brought up the AI? I don’t say they are driven only by a great need of doing well and helping everybody, but investing in your idea, they are showing some of the following: faith in you (they trust you), they don’t feed you, but teach you the feed yourself and give food to others (this means that you are successful) and they even get some money (even more than they initial fund you) and everybody is happy.
Isn’t this a pure form of helping the one in need? They are even named “Angels” but I believe only that is common to call “angel” the one that helped you in something important to you.

I keep talking you about start-up and keep threatening you that I’ll write a post about starting up. I’m not under the false impression that I know everything about starting up, and the information presented here is what I found over the internet and from my discussions with Dragos Manac.
Starting up means:
1. You have a great idea. You believe in your idea and you think can be the next big thing.
2. You need more money that you have or you don’t have money at all .
3. You need some guidance, you need developers, and you need marketing.
How can you get all these?

Saptamana trecuta a fost saptamana surprizelor. Dupa ce am primit raspunsul unui AI (Angel Investor) cu privire la business plan-ul ce i-l trimisesem pe mail , mi-am dat seama ca ideile mele ar avea o sansa in plus daca ar veni din State. Adica acolo sa prinda viata si sa se adreseze pietei din State si nu numai.

Dupa cum va ziceam, heima.ro este primul meu proiect personal. heima.ro este o platforma web pentru publicarea, promovarea si monitorizarea anunturilor de executari silite. Practic este un serviciu destinat atat bancilor si institutiilor financiare non-bancare (companii de leasing). Le ofera posibilitatea de a externaliza publicarea, promovarea si monitorizarea anunturilor de licitatie pentru bunurile executate silit.
Tot pentru a veni in intampinarea celor interesati sa achizitioneaze un astfel de bun fie el mobil sau imobil, am dezvoltat un IPBEX. Indicele de pret al bunurilor executate silit, este calculat in fiecare luna ca medie intre pret si suprafata. Desi este la inceput si relevanta lui va deveni din ce in ce mai mare cu cat sunt mai multe anunturi luate in calcul, IPBEX este un instrument pentru a face comparatia intre bunurile de pe piata imobiliara si cele executate silit.
In acest moment heima.ro este in plin proces de redefinire, va fi mai simplu sa folosesti heima si mai simplu sa gasesti ce cauti.
Intre 3 si 4 noiembrie, la Intercontinental va avea loc “How to web“. Inca sunt disponibile bilete “early bird” la 200 Euro. Desi e un pret putin cam mare, daca ajungi acolo vei avea sansa sa vezi oameni din online care au dovedit. Ii vei vedea pe Emi Gal, pe Vladimir Oane, pe fondatorul Hi5, Ramu Yalamanchi. Daca ai o idee pentru un startup, acum e sansa ta. Vor fi in Romania oameni care te pot pune pe calea cea buna: Reshma Sohoni CEO Seedcamp, Katy Turner Associate la Eden Ventures.
Asa ca mai ai o luna sa faci rost de 250 euro (pretul maxim al biletului) si ne vedem la how-to-web. Pana la urma poti sa zici ca ai primit cadoul de Craciun mai devreme, nu?
I received the answer from the Angel Investor. he says the idea is interesting but since I did not provide in the BP the costs of developing the game the idea is just interesting.
I’m preparing business plan’s for the other two ideas. Meanwhile I ordered some books from Amazon, in case I’ll have to develop my ideas by myself.
After I wrote to wjs and ft i contacted an angel investor.I received no answer form wsj or ft but,the angel investor answered me when he returned from holiday.he said he would gladly read about my ideas but he expects them in a “BP format”.
So I started to read, do my homework and i’m almost done with one of three.
I finished with the idea numer 1 and started a BP for the idea number 3.
During this time i read a lot of materials regarding startups,how to obtain financing,do’s and dont’s.
I’ve the sites bookmarked and I’m preparing to write a post about this.
